As another Fashion Month winds down with Milan this week, I’m still sifting through the collections from last week’s London Fashion Week. Stella McCartney’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Pre-Collection blew me away. All the signature pieces were accounted for: the tailored jacket, the collared shirt and the oversized sweater, as well as some killer outer wear. I so wish I could have that blue double-breasted coat with me for my New York trip tomorrow.
Oliver Spencer is one of my favorite men’s designers. I admit that for the average guy some of these looks may be a bit much, but Oliver Spencer doesn’t design for the average man. When asked to describe his ideal client OS said “A creative who is independently minded and eclectic.” Even though a complete head-to-toe ensemble isn’t for every man, individual pieces can be easily incorporated in to any wardrobe, like the brick color pants and structured coats.
